  1. Well, yes provided you under 26 when selected for training.

You need to go through a commissioning program.  Since you've picked out your major-ROTC might be your best bet.  With that background, provided you pass the physical (Class I) you should be a lock.

    Current USAF reqts:

Vision: 20/70 correctable to 20/20.  No colorblindness, astigmatism or nightblindness.  If you wish to surgically correct your eyes do NOT do LASIK; PRK is the preferred method.  If your eye are LASIK-corrected you're done.  If you're wearing hard contacts-stop.

Health: No diabetes, cardio problems (a family history's oK, just not you).  No high/lo BP (lo BP is sometimes waiverable).  No hearing problems.  No periods of unconsciousness >5-7 minutes since age 12 (medically induced excepted).  No asthma since age 14 (to include "sports" or "stress" asthma).

Navy/USMC reqt's are similar except that they require 20/40 correctable 20/20

  2. Yes

  3. Yes...why wouldn't you still be eligible?

  4. Yes,  my brother is an AF pilot and had his ratings before he became an AF pilot.

The military does train you from scratch though as if you had never flown before. So it doesnt hurt, it may help, but in the long run they train everyone the same.
