I would like to drink my own wine and I thought this might be a clever way to get wine on a ship with out paying a corking fee?

  1. It depends on the cruise ship, which one are you going on?

If you are going on Carnival, they just notified all travel agents that all alcohol brought on the ship will be confiscated and not returned.  If you purchase it on the islands, they will hold it until the end of the cruise.

  2. Usually they hold it until the end of the cruise.  Check with the Cruise line your going to be sailing with.

  3. It depends. What cruise line are you sailing with? Some will allow to take your own wine (up to a couple of bottles) and some are very strict about not allowing outside beverages.

For those which do allow it, they will most likely charge you a corkage fee if you drink it in the restaurant.
