If I go to vocational school instead of college, I won't have much of a future?

I'm going to take classes at a voc. school in my senior year and take classes that will train me to be in clerical work but if I go to voc. school instead of college I won't have much of a future?

  1. Vo-tech classes won't necessarily exclude you from college. If you want to attend college, check with your guidance counselor to make sure you're on the right track. Maybe the vo-tech classes will provide you with the experience to work while you attend college.


  2. There are a lot of people who never went to college making more money than some who did go. Money is certainly important, but what's even more important is that you like what you're doing.  Go to the vocational school, graduate, take a job in what you are trained to do and if you decide you don't like it you can always save money to go back to college or work days and go to college in the evening.  College doesn't need to be ruled out just because you aren't going now.  And not going to college certainly doesn't mean you won't have a good future.
