it's quite easy : you would be arrested and condemned for this.

just 1 exemple : imagine you're dutch, smoking cannabis (it's perfectly legal in holland). what wd happen if you's smoke your cannabis in USA ? you shd be arrested for illegal smoking...

If you attempt to bring illegal items into France, and you are caught by the customs inspectors, the items will be seized and you may be prosecuted. If you succeed in getting them past the customs inspectors, they are still illegal to have. If you are caught with them later, again they will be seized and you may be prosecuted.

Off the top of my head, I can think of only one thing that is legal to own in America, but illegal to own in France: a handgun. If you get caught with one, you will most certainly be prosecuted and probably deported!
