  1. You would most likely have to ask which one they would want you to take. You may be able to take both.

  2. MVR hit the nail on the head.  Right now, lots of guys are getting "forced" to go fixed wing.  Timing plays a lot into it. As a general rule however, a majority of people join the CG to fly helicopters because lets face it, the CG has the coolest helicopter mission of all the services.  You can shoot at bad guys in the HITRON squadron, or save lives at any airsta.  So, that being said, generally if you want fixed wing (like me) you'll probably get it.  I've never met anyone who wanted fixed wing and was forced to go helo's.  I've met many however, who wanted helos but got FW.

  3. No.  Depending on how you do in flight school, you will be able to put in preferences.  If you are very good and there are enough spots, you will get what you want. If not, the CG will put you where they need you.

  4. you would have to qualify for flight school first. if you failed anything then they could assign you any other duty they wanted and there is nothing you can do about it. when you sign up for a certain job guaranteed that's if your qualified and can pass there tests including there health requirements. since you signed up for x number of years that's why they can put you anywhere they want if you fail what you signed up for.

  5. It is up to you...which one to you want to fly? It depends on your determination either way.

  6. no.
