If I got a new debit card (BOA) do I have to get new checks also?

You should only get a small amount of checks because you will probably not use them a lot but you may need them.  sometimes the debit card machines do not work and you will need to pay with a check or when making a deposit from your checking account into another bank account.

As long as you have the same bank account, you don't need new checks.   The number on your debit card is not your actual bank account number.
