I'm going for a long shot here. I am an incoming junior this year but I'm talking to my guidance counselor about graduating early. But I want to go to REAL college next year. Not the community college down the street. Lol. But the thing is, I'm already a year younger then everyone in my grade. So I'll be 16 if I start college next year. (Mind you, I do not look or act my age. No one ever realizes how young I am. lol.) But how late will colleges acept my application and is there any way I could become a legal adult by age 16? Haha. Like I said, long shot. But Im not a normal 16 year old girl. :D

  1. I guess my question would be WHY? I'm going to say this. ENJOY HIGH SCHOOL. once you leave, ITS OVER. Going out early is nice, but, you'll feel very much out of place. Stay in high school. graduate with your class. Get the best grades you can and start looking NOW for the colloege you want. If you want, broach the subject with those schools. I will be SHOCKED if any of them tell you to COME ON DOWN. I think, to a man, they will say stay and get more grounding and maturity.

You really start the looking process in your Junior year. YOu narrow it down and by the time you start your senior year, you should be pretty well on the mark.

  2. The vast majority of colleges don't have age limits, and you'd only be a year younger than most students anyway.  That's not a big difference.  As long as you have a GPA and a diploma and SAT/ACT score, you can apply for college.

  3. You do what ever other student does. Fill out the application and put down what semester you want to start and have the high school send out your transcripts. You will need to take the ACT/SAT as soon as possible and have those scores sent too. They will see your age on the application. You will either be accepted or denied.

Is your GPA and class rank good enough now to get into a college?
