  1. Yes i agree with the first answer, but go and ask a doctor how you can prevent that from happening again!

  2. yes you both need treatment or you will just catch it back again. it only takes a course of antibiotics and cream and youll be fine.

  3. He probably does NOT need to be treated, and it's unlikely that he gave this to you from his mouth.

You DEFINITELY need to be treated, and most women can use the over-the-counter medications that work fairly well, but not always.  ANTIBIOTICS are not indicated for yeast infections.  You will need something with an ANTIFUNGAL property to it.

If he has a sore in his mouth, it's probably NOT yeast.  Yeast in the mouth is called "Oral Candidiasis," and shows up as a white residue-like plaque on the tongue and inside cheeks (buccal mucosa). I have yet to see a case where this has transferred to another person.

If you might have douched BEFORE or AFTER this oral event, that may be the reason why more than anything.  Women should NEVER douche at all.

Try the OTC meds first, and see if it clears up.  If not...then see your medical provider.

    Best of luck! :)

  4. yes - he needs to be treated.. its called THRUSH in the mouth and there is medicine for it.
