  3. Yes. As long as the Blu-Ray player has analog video outputs (RCA) or even S-Video - most TV's have that connection.

    For example: Sony PS3 is Blu-Ray and it plays video games or BR movies just fine on a regular TV.

  5. why would you have all the hd components but no hd tv? It wont work, because there are no slots for the hd cables on the tv.
