If I have a different city address, can I watch that city’s local TV channels on DirecTV?

I would like to watch and TiVo out of market local broadcast stations, using DirecTV. If I establish a local address in a city, SF for ex, can I then watch SF programs in LA?

  1. Unfortunately that can't be done.  Local channels are carried by a "spot beam" so for instance local channels in Atlanta would only be carried by the Atlanta area spot beam and nowhere else.
