If I have a felony expunged can I be a firefighter?

O.k im slowly but surely working my way through all my lifes dreams. Tried the navy, got denied, wanted to be a police officer, got denied. I didnt think 3 years ago a stupid 19 year old kid could get in trouble for a freaken FIGHT. thats it a fight and have this thing follow me around for ever. So my felony is expunged can I be a firefighter?

  1. There is a chance you can if it is expunged. Now you must undersatnd most employers look at criminal background and take in consideration the crime, not just the charge. Yes, a fight can follow you forever and some employers will never hire anyone with any record. Sucks doesn't it.  Just one of lifes hard lessons.   Get it expunged and apply for the job, if you pass tests and training and probation period, you have a good chance of being hired.
