I'm going to San Francisco and have a reservation on a room for one guest. If someone I know that lives in that area already stays with me, will I have to pay extra? What are the rules on that?

  1. not if the hotel people don't find out.....just dont tell them. you don't have to be all sneaky though.

  2. I suppose if you tell them, you will have to pay extra. But my fiance and I always book rooms for one person and stay together. No one is coming by to do room checks. :)

  3. your not susposed to...i had a traveling job and we lived outa hotels in different states and stuff and we would always lie about it..noone ever really said anything jus dont get caught.....

  4. Yes they can. Because you can share a bed, or most hotels come with 2 double beds.

They cant charge for another guest. They only want to know how many because if there are more then 2, you will need to pay for more beds.

  5. it wouldn't cost extra.

    it's just one room.

  6. yeah they can stay with you i wouldnt even bother telling the front desk i was in california lat month to visit friends and i had like 6 ppl in my room that was booked for 2. just dont say anything,

  7. If the price is $/room, then no problem.

If it's $/person (highly unlikely), then you might have to pay extra.

  8. If you don't get caught, go for it. But to be truefull, yes you would be charged extra.......

  9. probably not. but iw ouldnt tell the hotel. they will never know.

  10. I guess the answer's the same as if you book for one then go out socialising and hook up with someone.  A person in that situation wouldn't even consider the rules of the hotel I'm guessing and chances are nor should you, unless you're expecting breakfast for the unexpected guest come morning

  11. It most likely would not affect the cost at all; do the right thing: call the motel and let them know there has been a change and you now would like to book the room for two people.  You will feel better for being upfront and not trying to pull a fast one on them (just because others have).

  12. You're not suppose to and if they catch you they will make you pay, but be sneaky and no one will know!

  13. You're allowed to have visitors. If they stay the night, they won't know. Don't stress over it.

  14. I wouldn't say a word.... but if you know someone, why not stay with them? maybe save a little money?

  15. Just don't mention it.

  16. bad girl
