  1. It all depends on how many hours you have to have of school in New York. It looks like you need 1,000 hours of school to be able to work in New York. Since you are licensed in New Jersey, then you had to have completed 1200 hours of cosmetology school. So if you move to new york you can definitely work as a cosmetologist!

    If you move to California, you have to take the written and practical test over again though :(


  2. thats a negative... cosmetology is not considered an actual occupation in NY. A bottle of scotch and a butcher knife should suffice
