  1. You need to go right back into the armed forces....contact your congressman....

  2. What you received is an Honorable Discharge for Medical Reasons.

If you can pass the physical agility test and medical physical for the Houston PD, then you will be fine.

Good luck with your police career.

  3. you should have no problem joining the Houston Police Department...

and thanks for helping our country and specifically my state (TEXAS!)

  4. Good luck getting on the police force with a Medical Discharge. They don't normally take a chance on having an employee who cannot handle the job. They have lots of applicants with clean bill of health.  Do you think they will believe you made yourself resistant?

  5. Since you were only in for 3 weeks, yes, you recieved an honorable discharge under medical conditions.

However, during the application process for the police department, military service is defined as honorable discharge or honorable discharge with minumum 2 years of active duty.  Double check with the agency you are applying for to be sure.  Additionally, some police agencies will not even consider you if your discharge has a medical reason.
