Would I be able to get 2 mortgages? If I have a mortgage would I be able to get another on buy to let and are there any conditions to it?

in order for you to be able to be approved for another mortgage payment you have to be able to show you can afford both payments should the renter not be able to pay. or you have to have 30 percent equity in your home or 6 months worth of payments in savings. are you trying to get a new home before you lose the one you are in now, just curious
