If I have a small crack on the tail of my surfboard should I get it repaired immediately?

It is very small, and seems to be mostly below the surface.

A piece of tape will do the trick until you can get it repaired to ensure no water gets under the glass.   A repair on a small crack with a ding repair kit is a no brainer.  Pick up a kit at your local board shop or boating supply store and repair it yourself to prolong the life of your board.

  4. If you plan on keeping your board for a while, get it fixed. Even small cracks allow water to get in. This is how your board starts to delaminate. If you are planning on getting a new board in a couple of months to a year, don't sweat it.
