If I have a ticket number for an AA flight, can I find out the seat?

I am going on a big group trip in a week. Our teacher sent out our tickets numbers in an email. Is there a way to find out what seat everyone will be in? So I can see who I am sitting by? We are flying American Airlines.

All you would have to do is when you get on they plain is ask the lady or man if they have a spacific number they want you to sit in and if they do they will give you a little card or a recet  telling you your seat number.... other wise you can sit where you want to...

Here is a link to where you can put in your name and record locater number in and find your reservation. It says what seat you are in on the reservation. If you do not have the record locater number, you can't find out what seat you're in, but maybe your teacher can give it to you.

yes just go to AA and enter the info on the ticket and you can see where u will be sitting
