Is there a law that says so because of the European union, or does each country still have to issue a working permit if you are foreign?

Thanks

  1. Yes, there is a thing called the free movement of workers.  It allows you to go to any EU country, look for a job and live there without needing any kind of permit.  If you do decide to stay, you just need to inform the proper government agency in that country that you are staying.

At http://www.europa.eu.int/eures/home.jsp?... you can read about free movement of workers, look for jobs and get information about living and working in different countries of the EU.

  2. yes you can, one of the many joys of being in the EU..anyone with citizenship in any country to go to another coutry and work..bc its all part of the eu..

  3. I do think so because Austria is part of the Europe Continent. I also think that any passport is good anywhere.
