If I have an idea for a product, but need help manufacturing it, where would I start?

I have an idea that would make an existing product better. I want to sell my idea to a comany that makes the existing product...where should i start?

Chinese manufactures will make it for you.  You just need to find one and talk to a sales rep and see what capacity then can do for you.

It is very very difficult to get a company to purchase an improvement to their product.  Are you sure they have not already got Patent coverage of your idea?

Where to start: the USPTO website, research existing Patents.

You should start by obtaining a patent for the idea.  If you need help with that part of it, contact an attorney.  If you still have some kinks to work out, you might need an engineer as well.  Then approach the company (ies) that you think would benefit from your idea.  Unfortunately, you need to cya legally, otherwise you will be taken advantage.
