If I have been persecuted beyond reason would it be ok for me to file a lawsuit against the persecutors?

The Bible teaches us not to return evil with evil. Let God take care of those people. You will be better off that way.

No.  Let it go.  Pray for them.  

"Vengeance is mine.  I will repay, saith the Lord."

If the case involves legalities then proceed with legal means. If the case does not need legalities then dont.
