If I have clogged breathe valves on a 96 seadoos gas line system, will that cause gas to not flow to the carb?

Ok so i figgured out that I have valves that are clogged up with some type of gummy gas substance. My craft was sitting for like 2 years without and gas treatments etc. Because there is no breathing, will this cause gas to not flow proper? what is a good way to clean the lines, or is it better to just replace them?

  1. cleaning those lines it a pain in the butt it can be done, if you have the cash and you know how to do it, it would be cheaper to get new lines since you dont know if your going to be able to get all of the junk out, Go ahead and put new plugs in it as well, I have t o change the plugs in mine every year, winterize your ski it works out better in the long run,

  2. The best thing to do is sell the Sea Doo and buy a Yamaha.  Seadoos are an owner's nightmare and a mechanic's dream.  Yamah's have a note written on the back of each one that say's "Attach Sea Doo tow rope here."

  3. You need a complete fuel system flush.  Remove the old gas first.  Clean your carb, the lines, and the fuel vent.  Then run 91 octane fuel through the system while running the ski on a hose for 20 minutes or so.  The gummy stuff is varnished fuel and will be anywhere fuel sat for awhile.  Make sure you get as much out as possible.  You might need to check the fuel pump, and the diaphragms.  They might need to be replaced.  www.jamminjetskis.com
