  1. start planning an escape route, via the employment pages of your local paper.

  2. id learn to make a bit more sense.

  3. First back up and breathe a few times and figure out vwhat you really did not just what it feels like and what the immediate and mid and long term consequences are.  Are you about to be canned?  Can you just not stand the place much longer?  Are you in a dead end spot?

If firing or discipline is likely do what you can to prepare a defense at least defense enough to be able to collect unemployment.

If you are just bored silly exercise your mind with 3 things - 1. putting together a solid resume that is a great ad for you because you are your product and any potentially hiring company needs to see you as an asset to them that will really benefit them. Look at you from their point of view.   2. Checking out possibilities of training for something you like better 3. Look into a possible business of your own that will have more challenge and reward and give you freedom not just different druggery and boredom.

With what I see in the economy right now and having lived through a couple of serious recessions my advice is hang onto your current job if you have one till you have much better and go for stability as a major thing.   Keep your resume up to date and quietly in circulation, consider training for something better, and strongly consider building a second, independent source of income that is controlled by you.    When you can make more at that than at your job let it be your primary income.

One thing I have learned about my self is I don't like working for someone else. I don't like them telling me when to blow my nose and how.   I like to see the best way to do something and do it. and frankly I like that the money from what I do comes to me.   It sounds like you may be like that too and if so you need to start now building an escape hatch into something that challenges and rewards you.

  4. think about how you can turn the situation around. If you are really unhappy and don't want to be there because of only a few people then ask for a change within the company.

  5. I would echo the comments made by AF....he gave you some well thought out advice....I would take it

  6. Don't make any hasty decisions, look at the big picture

  7. oh well,, what are your other options ,about another job
