I'm under 16 and I had a pair of glasses and it hasn't been a year since I have had them.

I lost them at school and I was wondering would I have 2 pay for new ones or would I get them free as I am under 16?

Thanks

  1. you get free glasses if you choose the craap ones

  2. You should get the NHS voucher ok from most opticians. Go in and ask.

Both my kids have glasses and they get them free all the time. We just have to pay for any additional cost on frames if we go for more expensive ones and thinning of the lenses. But the majority of the cost is covered by the NHS voucher.

  3. Most warranties would cover breakage but won't do a thing if you loose them.

  4. You'll get the new ones free.

I've lost/broken mine about 2-3 times in the past 2 years and have gotten new ones completely free.

  5. No, I'm sure you can get them free. Or at least you used to be able to on the NHS 10 years ago! I used to break so many pairs of glasses playing football.

  6. I don't think you get free ones if you lose them.  I think they're only free if you break them because the optical place has no way to know you're not just trying to get a free pair of glasses.
