If I have medicaid will they pay for my contact fitting/appointment?

They pay more my eye exams and glasses, I know they don't cover contacts, but do they still pay for the exam for contacts?

  1. No, only for the eye exam itself.  The fitting is a separate charge and is the patients responsibility.


  2. Yes... unless the eye exam is specific for just the contact fitting.  Then no.

  3. No.  You have to pay for the fitting.  As far as I'm concerned, if you can afford the luxury of contacts, Medicaid shouldn't pay for your eye care at all, but that's just me.

  4. No, they will not pay for it, they consider it cosmetic
