Is there a difference in how much gas your car will take if it's on low or high?? Or will it take the same amount if it's just on?

  1. Fan blower speed is regulated with resistors in the blower motor circuit so exactly the same amount of power to run the electric motor at any fan speed setting. No savings there using slower blower speed. However on low blower speed the A/C interior cooling device the blower blows Thur (Evaporator it is called) cools off faster and that turns off the compressor earlier. You can  suffer in the heat at low fan speed long enough to get the car cooled and the evaporator cools to the cut off point To keep it from freezing like a house refrigerator there is only minor savings. So run as much air flow as you want and enjoy the 1 to 2 miles a gallon of increased fuel consumption but arrive at work with out sweat running down you back.

  2. The speed is in your fan, not your a/c...your mileage will not vary depending on the speed of your a/c fan...
