Yes they would charge you extra for international texting...

Depends, is the person your texting just visiting another country and has a USA phone carrier, then no, you won't be charged.  But if they have a phone carrier from overseas, yes you will be billed for an international text, i believe they are 0.50 cents a text. **dont quote me on that price though! :)**

More than likely, it will cost you to send to a different country as it would be considered an international text. Normally, unlimited text is for your coverage area only.
