If I join the Mexican military, will I lose my US citizenship?

Yes. You will have to pledge allegience to Mexico, and if you pledge allegience to another nation, you are no longer protected by the US Consitution (ie a citizen).

YOU have to legally immigrate to Mexico, renounce your U.S. citizenship , become a Mexican citizen then you can join the Mexican Army!

Well, I think you have to be a Mexican citizen before you can do that. And if you're a US citizen, why would you want to join the Mexican military? The US military is vastly superior, you get better benefits/food/healthcare, and you get awesome benefits when you separate (assuming it's not a dishonorable discharge).

To answer your question though, most likely you'd lose your citizenship if you join a foreign army. I'm not 100% on this, but I don't think the US would like one of its citizens serving a foreign military.
