  1. Once commissioned as a NAVAL officer, you are no longer considered to be an enlisted SAILOR nor would you be eligible for further Enlisted Bonuses....

    Hint

    The US Army has Soldiers,

    The US Navy has Sailor,

The US Air Force has Airmen,

The US Marine Corps is made of Marines,

The US Coast Guard has Coast Guardsmen

  2. Until you graduate and receive your commission.....you are an enlisted man..... On graduation / commission you become a Naval Officer and remain so until you fullfill your service obligation or are released

Officers do not enlist......they request service extensions.....which may or may not be granted..... you serve at the pleasure of Congress ; they gave you your commission

  3. No you're an officer.

  4. you'd be enlisted SAILOR until OCS starts then you're a Midshipman and after that an Officer. You need to be in so many years and have a 4 year degree before you can apply to OCS so you'll get your enlistment bonus until you enter OCS.

  5. First if you are in the Navy you are NEVER a Soldier you are a Sailor, Soilders are the Army only.

It normally takes a few years to get selected for any officers program so you should be able to keep any enlisted bonus you may be eligible for.  You may also have to pay a pro-rated amount of a bonus back.

Try getting through boot camp and "A" school first before you start worrying about OCS.  It isn't an easy route and you have to have been at the top of your classes and career to even be considered.

  6. While in OCS you'll be considered as a cadet.  Then after graduation you'll be an officer.

Once you graduate OCS, all enlistment entitlements will no longer be accessible, unless you fail OCS and return to enlisted status (if that becomes available).

  7. until you graduate

  8. You're not an officer until you graduate.
