...a $500,000 home, knowing that I'll never have to pay full price?

(Yes, I'm serious, and yes, I'm a Christian. I was just wondering if we should take advantage of this?)

  1. Well, actually based on the 2012 phenomenon my husband and I are planning to rent where we are(safe in the mountains) until the sh*t hits the fan, then we plan to "bug-out" by a nice stream and live off the land til all the chaos settles and the newer better society starts forming. (We already own a home we just moved out of, but are keeping in case someone needs it in our circle of friends and family.) Dig it?

  2. Yeah, buy me one too!

  3. really?  Is the temple in Jerusalem being rebuilt?  That is supposed to be the sign that Jesus is returning.  Hey, if you want to buy that big house and be in debt up to your eyeballs until your death (by Christ coming back or not) go right ahead.

  4. You'll still have to pay full value for it.

Isn't that kind of being dishonest?

Also, no one knows when Christ will come exactly.

"Soon" in God's terms could mean another 100 years. God doesn't really go by time. 1,000 years here, could be one day in Heaven. That's why the creation does make sense if you were talking about days in God's terms.

When Christ comes, He will rule for 1,000 years. That's still quite a while for people to live on the earth.

  5. you are not a christian and you are not serious. how can you say that, so the first thing you decide to do when he comes is to purchase stuff to make your life easy.

  6. lol...god's not coming, he don't exist

  7. No one knows when he is coming and no it would not be moral.

  8. Would Jesus expect one of His True followers to ask such a question as this?  Uh, NO!

  9. yeah ! Buy me a $ 1,000,000 home,Anyway not gonna to repay,buy a big one,Christ will pay.

  10. I would not call you a Christian (as well as myself and 90% of people who think that they are Christians) Not out of disrespect to you or anyone else but to be Christian is to be Christ Like and I do not believe that Christ would ever ask such a ridiculous question.

Reason 1: He knows that NO ONE knows when Judgement day will come!

Reason 2: That is an irresponsible thing to do!

Reason 3: I do not believe that he would TAKE ADVANTAGE of anything but only appreciate what he has earned.

    So my answer is NO!!!

  11. I think you mean mortgage a home.

As long as you plan to make the mortgage payments, which is the agreement you will make with the lender, you will be in good standing.  If you don't make the mortgage payments for what ever reason you will not be able to keep your promise to pay the lender.

You will then be a slave to whatever the agreed recourse the lender has on your contract.

  12. No  you should  give away all you have to those in need  and I do not believe you are Christian.

  13. Nobody knows when, so all you do, is go out there and buy whatever it is that you can afford, so you don't get into a potentially bad situation....Just live your life, that God has given, and don't be a fool, by trying to mess it up.....Be good !

  14. That amount of money wouldn't buy you much in the Bay Area....

    It depends where you live.

p.s: When Christ will  come back, your life will be so turned upside out for the better that you probably will not care about a house, or a mansion, even!

  15. Sure it's the Christian way to take advantage of their relationship with their lord and refuse responsibility for their own actions.  Oops.  Lord.

  16. How do you know that Jesus is coming back in your lifetime?  No one knows when He will be returning.  Plus if you cannot afford the monthly mortgage payments, your house will be foreclosed and that would not be a positive testimony since you are a Christian.

  17. I seriously doubt that you are a Christian with those values..... to waste money and never intend to pay your debt just for a luxury, prideful item.

  18. Not a chance - you'll pay for it one way or another.
