  1. The phone book if you live in the UK. If you don't you might be able to get hold of a UK phone book somewhere.

  2. If someone has a BT landline, their phone number will come up on 192.com when you type in their name and address.

If they are ex-directory or are on cable or just use a mobile, then obviously, their number won't show.

The BT number will also only be shown against the name of the person who pays the bill, so, if you have John and Betty Smith and the line is in Betty's name, it won't be shown if you ask for details of John Smith.

You have to buy credits when, say, you know their name and Town, but want a full address (that's the thing you pay for).

Most local libraries have a full set of telephone directories for the whole Country - you could pop into one of those if you are really dead set against 192.

  3. some people who are in the phone book are on 192.com with their address without you having to register. otherwise if they are local look in your phonebook .

  4. 0800 100100 its a relatively new free directory service. You have to listen to about 20 seconds of an 'ad' before they give you the number but its free so what the h**l!

  5. Don't you have a phone book?

  6. If you have name and address, BT.com will give you the number (15 searches a day for free I think). It will only give out the number if it's not ex directory.

    Hope this helps?

  7. I agree with answer 2
