If I learn Visual Basic.NET 2003, can I apply it to the latest version?

Because I couldn't find any books in the library on how to learn the latest version. By the way, what is the latest version?

  1. Well, Visual Studio 2008 is out now, but we (at my company) are still using VS2005.

    Yes - everything you can learn in VB 2003 can be applied to newer versions. Typically, in the newer versions, there are just more built in libraries and types, and the IDE is slightly different - the base language remains almost completely unchanged.
