If I lie on my eye exam?

Im going to get an eye exam to get contacts, and I was wondering, if I lie, will they give me a prescription for stronger contacts? And btw they are doing the thing where they but that machine to your eyes and they tell you if #1 or #2 is better.

  1. yeah it will change the prescription to either stronger or weaker for the worse basically and the wrong prescription and actually hurt your eyes making them worse

  2. Well if you don't plan to lie. Then there's no problem. Just honestly answer the questions and the doctor should prescribe you what you need.

    Besides, why, why would you ever lie on your eye exam.

    About your question, on whether they would give you stronger lenses if you lie, I think they would because I guess they think their patients want to be healthy, so they doubt being lied to!

  6. yes if you lie and say you see better with the stronger prescription they will give you a stronger prescription. but that just wouldn't make any sense, because they entire reason behind getting your eyes examined is to see better

  7. If you lie, you'll only be harming yourself.  Answer truthfully so that you get the prescription that is right for you and you're able to see properly.

  8. its doesnt fool your OD.  they figure it out REALLY FAST, and it usually just irritates them.

  9. First of all, why would you lie.  It will only hurt your eyes.  

    Second, we have several check tests during the exam to know if you are giving accurate answers.
