If I live in the u.s, whats my province?

its on a questionaire. it says: united states

then province:

Perhaps they mean geographic province, not a political one.  Examples might be the East Coast or Great Plains for large scale descriptions.  More specific examples could be the Napa Valley, the Hudson River Valley or the Virginia Piedmont.

u. s. has states, not provinces. that is how i would answer that question.

If it says United States, the questionaire should also have states.  There are no provinces in this country.  There are provinces in other countries, like in Canada and Australia.  They are similiar to states, basically, but they are called provinces.

you only fill in province if you select canada as your country. otherwise it should be states

In France and China, province is a sub-national region within a unitary state. This means the province can be abolished or created by the central government.

Since province can mean the same thing as state then I would just put in the state that you live in.
