I'm currently going to be a junior and my goal is to get in UCLA. The problem is that my brother heard that the chances are higher if I am a Californian resident. I currently study overseas, but I lived in California for two years for Preschool and Kindergarden, does that still count?

  2. uhm if u arent living in california currently ur not a resident, but ur still californian, but dont see hwo that would help

  3. no you have to be living there to be a resident

  4. i dont think so. u have to be a  legal resident for atleast one year at the time ur trying to get in, not just in ur lifetime.

  5. no, you are a resident where ever you reside which in your case is overseas.

  6. Since over 10 years have passed since you were a resident,  I think it's unlikely they would consider you a California resident.  If you lived in any other US state in between,  even less likely

  7. No.  You are no longer a California resident just because you lived there for a short period of time.  Your residence is where you have your driver's license from and where you receive your mail.
