  1. Yes, as far as i can see it would be legal. You may find anyone stopping you would check to see you actually went throught with it.

  2. "isitme" is right, this "clever" idea has been tested in court and failed dismally.

  3. No, the legislation states that the testing station should be within a reasonable distance. This has been tested in court and is translated as the nearest available station to where the car is stored.

  4. Yes, as long as your current MOT is valid and the car is legal. Remember, just because you have a current MOT does not mean it is OK to drive it on the road. If the tyre is worn or brake lights not working it is not legal to have it on the road; it does not matter if your MOT is still valid. And you are expected to have your car MOTed during the 2 weeks 'grace' before it expires.

  5. Legal maybe just, but your insurance company would not cover you if you had an accident so you would technically be uninsured and therefore illegal because of that. Also, a policeman could still stop you driving it and take your car if he deamed it unacceptable so not a good idea

  6. It would only be legal if you drove by the shortest practical route and did not stop for any reason other than traffic hold ups, you are not allowed to stop for refreshment, comfort stops or to refuel.

  7. Yes....

As long as the car was insured.

  8. Hello

As far as I remember the stipulation is yes you can as far as you do not deviate from the direct route there.  With no max stipulated.

    Dear  Reader,

I am writing this on behalf of my loving  husband.

Everything was fine, me, my husband and our two children. We  had a happy

family. My husband was an Engineer in a big company. He  comes home early and

helps me with the house chores and plays with  the children… Our dreams

were shattered in front of our eyes last  week. It was a drunk lorry driver,

who came on the wrong side and  hit us and went. It killed my little baby

girl and left my husband  paralyzed. My husband is still in the hospital. His

brain is damaged  and he needs an operation. I need 5 lakhs to save his life

I have  collected about 3 lahks from my friends and family. I need another 2

lakhs.I don't want to lose him. He is such a wonderful husband &  father

He still doesn't know we lost our little girl. I am  looking after my son

now. Without my husband I won't be able to take  care of him. Please help me

save my husband the one person I dearly  love. I have already lost my

daughter and I don't want to lose my  husband as well. Please help us.

Thank you very much for your love  & support.

    May God bless you.

    Yours Truly,

    Nirosha  Silva

(I know you don't like to forward mails. I am really sorry to  bother you.

If you have a heart and like to help a family, please  forward this mail.

Every time you forward this it will add 5 cents  per email ID to AOL and they

will deposit it into my bank account.  This will help me save my

    husband.)

  10. Yes as long as you have proof of your appointment.  God knows why you would want to go from one end of the country to another tho or is this just hypothetical.

  11. Technically yes, but it would probably cost you a fortune. Legally you are allowed to drive to a testing station if you have booked an MOT & there is nothing about distance etc in the rules
