If I lose my registration papers for my car, how do I go about getting license plates?

Just go down to your local vehicle registration office.

Bring your plate number or vehicle ID (VIN) number along with your Id or drivers license. If the vehicle is titled and registered in your name they will let you pay and register it right there at the office.
