I would like to be able to make it truly public - click the link and you can view the calendar. How do I do this please?

I am the group owner, and I can log in as a member and view the group. Have not tried with a non-member, but for this calendar to be of any use I need it visible to non-Yahoo users as well.

  1. Some parts of your group cannot be set for viewing by non-members.  The Calendar CAN be set for viewing by non-members.  Click on Management on the menu on the left side of the home page.  Click Web Tools under Group Settings.  Click the Edit link.  Under the section for Calendar, click button for "Public (anyone, including non-members, can view links)".  Click Save Changes at the bottom.

This will not work the same with Yahoo groups that are designated Adult - no one who is not logged in to Yahoo, with a birth date that makes them an adult, will be able to see your home page and thus your calendar if your group is Adult.  They don't need to be members of your group however.

  2. Even though you want the calendar visible to non-Yahoo users and non-members of your group, they still would be required to register for a Yahoo ID.  They could then go to your group's home page, click on Calendar, sign in and view the calendar.  (They would not be able to access any other feature within your group.)

  3. public means Yahoo community- you need a yahoo account and be logged onto it for anyone to see 'public' calendars and not be a member of that group. you cant make it whole web public.
