If I miss my birth control pill how soon can I get pregnant?

I started birth control about the middle of June 2008, I stayed on the pills straight for 6 week without taking the sugar pills. I stopped on august 1, 2008 and had a regular cycle. I was supposed to start a new pack on Aug 8, 2008 and I did not. I had unprotected s*x on Aug 9, 2008. How likely would it be for me to have gotten pregnant. Just a little worried thats all....Any insite would be helpful.

the protection of the pill generally stops working after around 18 - 24 hours after a missed pill it would be an idea to go visit your local GP and get a test....... S2

It's possible that you're pregnant, but unless your were ovulating then, your chances aren't really high.

Generally you ovulate in middle of your cycle - if you just stopped bleeding on the 8th and you had s*x on the ninth, its very UNLIKELY you are pregnant.
