  2. the easiest way for you to live in italy and possibly gain citizenship in the future, i think, is to go to an american institution in italy, with a student visa, and eventually attain citizenship in the EU (European Union). Look at:

  3. There are a lot of universities in Italy, and they do accept foreign students, so you can certainly apply. To get started learning about the admissions process, check the website for the Universita di Bologna, which is one of the oldest unis in Italy.

    Of course, to go to university in Italy, you must write in Italian, as well as speak it. That's going to be a major hurdle for you to overcome. So to that end, I'll link you to the page with the summer courses at U Bologna. They offer intensive Italian, which may help prep you for your studies.
