If I only wear my glasses all the time will it weaken my eyes?

Question

I only really need to wear them to see far away, (I can see fine close up) but if i wore them all the time (to see up close and far away) will it hurt my eyes?

or would it makes a difference?

well, from my experience i know that it will not hurt your eyes. i used to wear my glasses in between, but now i wear the same exact glasses all the time. i think you can do that too.

You are right when you say wearing glasses all the time can make your eyes worse- if you need them to see far away, then use them to see distance- never use them for near work as it causes eyestrain and making your vision worse. I only wear glasses if I want to see distance and my prescription hasn't changed that much.

There is strong evidence that shows it is better to take them off when you are doing long periods of close work , being as you see well without them.

The lens of your eyes don't have to accomodate as much when you have the glasses off for close vision.
