is it normal to not get a spike the morning after ovulation if you ovulated late in the day the day before?

  1. BBTs are the ONLY way to know if you've ovulated, and while OPKs can tell you if you're getting an LH surge, they don't confirm ovulation. It's entirely possible to get the surge and then never ovulate.

Your temps should be up within half a day of ovulation, because along with the egg, you rupture the Corpus Luteum, which starts making progesterone and that's what makes your temps go up. Progesterone is assimilated by the body immediately, so your temps would rise very quickly after ovulation. I'd imagine you will ovulate tomorrow or the next day. Good luck!

  2. It typically rises the day after ovulation but can either be a slow rise (rise a bit each day for 1-3 days) or it might show up tomorrow.  Good luck!!!

  3. Forget all that stuff and go buy those ovulation kit testers at the store..... the first response ones are very accurate.  I've conceived twice with them and on the first try.
