If I owe money on my truck and can no longer afford it, can I just give it back to the dealer?

If they do take it back, what effect will it have on my credit?

  1. If you return the truck it will show as a repo on your credit report. They will also sell it for a lot less than what you owe and youwill be responsible for the remaining balance owed. Maybe you can refinance the truck to lower the payment. Or make payment arrangements with your lender.
