  1. Get A Aquaruim Instead Of A Cage So That Way Your Kitten Can't Get it

  2. yes, I have 2 cats and have had 3 hamsters at one time, all in separate cages.  They love to chase them in their exercise balls. LOL

  3. this is acceptable but don't let your cat touch them or around them when your not there it will be best if you keep them in different rooms if you don't want to or don't have space to keep them in different rooms make sure that you place the cage or tank high enough so the cat can't reach it and just in case get a cage that the cat can not reach into and get them if she/he finds out how to get them or were they are

  4. OH yes of course!  I own 6 gerbils and a mouse.

Just make sure you have a cage that is secured and put it somewhere where the cat can't knock it off.

  5. You can get any pet to go along with your cat as long as you do your research first!  Check to see about cages that are kitty proof and don't leave the hamster out of the cage while kitty is around.  Cats seem to think anything that moves is fair game as a toy or dinner!  Get a book about dwarf hamsters and read up on thier care and I'm sure you will have no problem keeping the two pets at the same time!  Good Luck!

  6. Well, young cats are naturally curious, so seeing a new, small creature would have the little kitty very curious about the new member of the family. My advice would be to keep the hamster out of reach from the kitten, or in a room that the kitten isn't able to go into.

If neither are options, you could get a cage that your cat absolutely couldn't get into; if you have an aquarium (glass tank) that you plan to put your hamster in, you could get a mesh cover to put over the top, so that the hamster would still be able to breath (obviously important), and so that the cat couldn't easily access the cage.

    Hope this helps :D

  7. Yes, as long as you keep them separate and make sure the cage is secure.

  8. well u can find by putting your kitten by you hamster.not too close and keep it in your hands.see if your kitten is interested. is she staring at  your hamster with wide eyes and a moving tail? if  keep your hamster in a separate room with a door, and keep  your kitten out of that room.

or does kitten look more playful and thinks your hamster is a toy?

if that then dont be worried, just keep and eye on cat when near your hamster.

p.s. is your cat an outdoor  cat, if so i would not recommend letting your cat your hamster without supervision

  9. yes, as long as you keep the hamster out of reach of your kitten and keep them in different rooms if you can
