  3. good question i have been wondering the same thing and i passed my test 1997 also

  4. You will still need to take the theory test.

You have to take a theory test everytime you take any kind of driving test. Even if you allready have one kind of driving licence. I have a full car licence (manual one) But when I wanted to get my motorbike licence I still had to take a theory test before i could take my bike test. You also have to take the theory test before you can even start to learn to drive in a manual car.

  5. I passed my car test in 1983, and when I took my HGV test a couple of years ago I had to take the theory and hazard avoidance tests too.

You are adding a category to your licence and you must take the appropriate test for it.

This includes the theory part unfortunately
