If I pierced my ears at an 8 gauge would it heal the same ?

I'd be using a double flare tunnel , should I use the same healing solution as usual for ear piercings ??

i think piercing at a lower gauge than 16 or 18 is a little risky.  why not just stretch?  my lower lobes were pierced at an 18.  i now have them gauged to a 4 within 2 months.

i wouldnt do it yourself! my friend has his ears punched straight to 8g and they were fine but they take a long time to heal. if you meant you already have your ears pierced and was thinking of stretching them, getting to 8g should be fine, just use a plastic stretcher and use lots of vaseline
