If I plant my irises this September, will they bloom this coming spring?

my irises haven't shipped yet, so I can't plant them NOW

  1. Plant them NOW!!!!  And make sure to read a garden book for your area- they have very specific planting and drainage requirements.

    They will spend the rest of the summer and fall making roots,and should have some blooms next year ... it depends on the size of the rhizomes (the fat root part).

    The second and following years have more flowers.
