If I play computer casino-type games and board games like Monopoly, is that a sin?

What if I like to play Monopoly and casino-type gambling games? Is that evil or sinful? Some people say that it is evil.

The bible doesn't say don't gamble.  It does say to look after the money God gave you.  

If you are playing games with fake money for fun you'd have to be a bit of religious zealot to say that that was evil.

If you are playing with real money and actually gambling.....it all comes down to your own conscience - if you feel that wasting your money is sinful then it's probably not a good idea to do it.

Sin is something derived from religion so I guess if it says in the bible that gambling is a sin then religiously I guess it must be.  I am not religious.  There are morals in life and we each have our own so I guess you have to work out this one for yourself :-)  I think a sin would for me be something that hurt others.

Depends what religion you are, in christianity no it's not a sin but if your muslim I think all forms off gambling are, they cant even by insurance
