If I play tennis everyday will I get skinnier or more muscular?

I love tennis and I need to start practicing before school starts. Plus I want a fun way to lose weight. If I play every single day will I lose weight and look thinner, or will I look more muscular? Just wondering. Thanks :)

  1. you will lose weight and look thinner you might get muscles in ur thighs but thats about it...also if ur playing outside you will get very very tanned or dark if ur not white


  2. You will lose some weight, but it depends on the intensity with which you play it. In terms of muscles, it is unbalanced as it develops more one of the arms.

    It is a fun sport and I practice it too.

  3. Tennis, next to swimming, is the best excercise.  It burns more calories than running because your use your arms and you have to balance yourself.  So, you will loose weight.

    You may gain some lean muscle, but to build bulky, noticeable muscle, you have to lift weights.

Well,first of all it depends on how you look now.If you are a bit over weight you will turn each gram over weight into muscles,so if you are skinny now,you will remain skinny,if are normal,you will just lose some weight tightening your body but if you have more extra kilos you will lose them getting muscular.

    Now way would you get skinny playing tennis,unless you are skinny now.Tennis(as well sports as a whole) tightens body muscles,sharp diets turn people skinny.

  6. Let me set the record straight , unless your playing 5 set matches and running around every point . THEN you will not become skinnier or muscular. So many people look to tennis to get fit. The fact of the matter is that tennis is not a game you need to be extremely fit for.Play squash thats a very tiring game.

  8. i played tennis before..if you play for a long period,you'll definitely get muscle by your arms and thigh due to the running and hitting the heavy balls..at the same time if you have a healthy meal you'll be thin as well..doing sports is always good fot the body..just go out and enjoy yourself girl..

  9. Well i'm sure you wouldn't mind having a body like Anna Kournikova, Maria Kirilenko, or Maria Sharapova would you? Tennis is their career and they look fine as heck. You'll tone out pretty well, but you won't really lose weight unless you add a little cardio to your tennis along with a proper tennis diet..
