told guests to feel free to dance, but me and my fiance' might dance, might not, depends on how it goes.

We are going to make a fun mix of music to play throughout the whole reception, but the reception is going to be really laid back, with just hor'dourves and not a fancy sit down dinner so people can mingle more!

As a side note: a lot of our friends are dancers and love to dance.

But I'm just curious as a guest what would you do?

Also, there will be plenty of room for dancing.

  1. make gift baskets and have a dance competition >D

  2. I think people would just naturally dance. If not, talk to your friends and have them kind of start it- by dancing themselves and hopefully everyone will just follow!

  3. it's your call because it's your wedding.

you playing on the reception is also a very good idea. go for it.

if i will be a guest, i might not dance because i don't dance, but i would certainly enjoy watching the dancing couples on the floor and have a very good time. God bless you and your wedding!

  4. If there is music playing and a dance floor then I would definitely want to dance. I think it's nice if the bride and groom at least start off by getting people on the dance floor - it doesn't have to be a first dance if you don't want to. You can just announce that you want everyone to join you on the dance floor. Once the first song is over you guys can go and mingle and people will be comfortable enough to keep dancing.
