If I prune my bonsai by cutting some braches...will it die???

I want to prune my bonsai but i don't know how and I don't know if it will die...please, give me suggestions! Thanks a lot for whatever you can do for me!

  1. no pruning is a very important part of plant care.. as a thumb rule prune to a maximum of 1/3 of the plant growth , any more tend to delay the recovery for normal plants...

    now coming to bonsai , these are oft kept for the aesthetic apeal, thus to maintain their beauty you have to keep trimming/ prunig into shape at else once in 4 weeks.. else they will grow in odd shapes and soon will no longer remain "bonsai"
